Celt Jive holds such a special place in our hearts because it’s where our love story began! Five years ago, my now-husband took me to a dance as friends, and we came out as a couple! Since then, we’ve enjoyed countless dance weekends and thoroughly enjoyed every single event. We’ve attended so many dance lessons, and Paul and Lynn always make sure everything is easy to follow. We all start off thinking we have two left feet, but honestly, it’s so easy to pick up! We’ve even met dancers aged 92, so you really can’t say you’re too old! It’s never too late to give it a go. We’ve loved dressing up for the themed nights, from Western to Casino and Hawaiian, although fancy dress is completely optional. There’s always a fantastic atmosphere, lots of laughter and wonderful people. One of our most unforgettable moments was when my husband proposed to me on the dance floor at Paul’s dance class. I’m pretty sure quite a few people were in on the secret! It was the most romantic moment and certainly got people talking! We married two years later, and our evening wedding reception was attended by over 180 guests, the majority of whom were our dance friends. We’ve just returned from our first overseas trip with Celt Jive to beautiful Tunisia, and WOW… what a phenomenal experience! The organisation by Paul and Lynn was above and beyond, with a full itinerary of dance lessons and day trips, while still allowing us time to explore independently. We made the most of it with camel rides, jet skiing, quad biking, chilling by the pool and snorkelling. It was the perfect mix of dancing, adventure and relaxation, and we’ll be talking about this amazing trip for years to come! One of the best things about Celt Jive is the like-minded people you meet along the way. You come for the dancing but gain so much more: lifelong friends, unforgettable experiences and memories to treasure. A massive THANK YOU to Paul and Lynn for everything you do and for creating such wonderful opportunities for us all.

Pawl Anthony and Lynn Jones have been part of the Modern Jive community for more than 16 years.
They have competed in UK championships, becoming UK Double Trouble Champions at Blackpool in 2011, and have spent the last 10 years teaching dancers of all abilities.
Their experience includes teaching on international dance holidays and UK dance weekenders, as well as running friendly local classes and events.
Pawl is also an experienced Modern Jive DJ, supporting dance events and venues with music that keeps the floor moving.
Above all, Pawl and Lynn want Celt Jive to be friendly, relaxed and welcoming - a place where people can enjoy great music, meet new friends and simply have a good time dancing.

Pawl Anthony is available to DJ at Modern Jive freestyles, weekenders, themed events and dance venues. With years of experience as both a dancer, teacher and DJ, Pawl understands how to build the right atmosphere and keep a Modern Jive floor flowing throughout the event.

Just returned from a fantastic dance holiday with Celt Jive to Tunisia. From beginning to end we were welcomed by both Lynn and Paul along with all other dancers. New friends made and old acquaintances met again.

Celt Jive uses personal information supplied through enquiries and bookings to respond to you, administer classes and events, manage event booking requests, coordinate room allocations and reconcile payments. Information may include your name, contact details, booking choices, payment reference and messages you send.
How information is used
Information is used where needed to answer enquiries, administer a booking, provide event information, meet legal/accounting obligations or send communications you have asked to receive.
Sharing
Information may be shared with service providers needed to operate the website and, where necessary, with the hotel/accommodation provider to fulfil an approved accommodation booking. Celt Jive does not sell personal information.
Your choices
You can ask what information is held about you, request corrections or ask for deletion where applicable by contacting celtjive@mail.com.
Booking Terms & Conditions
Each event can have its own room types, package lengths, deposit, part-payment and balance terms. The information shown on the event page at the time of booking forms part of these terms.
Deposits & confirmation
Where an event states that a deposit is non-refundable or non-transferable, that condition applies. Submitting a room request does not guarantee a room. Pawl/Celt Jive reviews accommodation requests first. A booking is confirmed only after Celt Jive approves the allocation and receives any required deposit/payment.
Balances & part payments
Balances must be paid by the date shown for the event. Part payments can be made where the event allows them. Payments should use the event reference supplied by Celt Jive so they can be matched correctly.
Rooms & packages
Room types and prices are subject to availability. Celt Jive organises the dance event and coordinates room allocations for the event; the hotel is the accommodation provider. Room preferences, including requests for a previous room, are requests only and remain subject to hotel confirmation.
International travel
Celt Jive does not organise or book flights. Guests are responsible for arranging their own flights and other independent travel unless a specific event states otherwise.
Changes & cancellations
Celt Jive may need to change schedules, teachers, DJs, entertainment, venues or other details where circumstances require. Any cancellation/refund position will be communicated for the specific event and should comply with applicable consumer law.
Event photography
Photographs may be taken at events for memories, event albums and future promotion. If you are unhappy with a published image of you, contact Celt Jive and they will review/remove it where appropriate.
Weekender & Holiday Cancellation Policy
Policy version: 21 October 2026
1. Deposits
Bookings are only confirmed when the appropriate deposit is received.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
2. Instalment Payments
You may cancel before the next scheduled instalment is due without any further cancellation penalty.
Any payments already made, including the deposit and any previous instalments, are non-refundable.
3. Full Payment
Once paid in full, the total amount is non-refundable and non-transferable if the customer cancels.
4. Travel Insurance
We strongly advise that you take out appropriate travel insurance, including cancellation and curtailment cover.
Celt Jive can provide an invoice and/or payment confirmation to support an insurance claim. Any claim is subject to the terms of the customer's own insurance policy.
5. Transfer to Another Person
If you are unable to attend, you may request that your booking is transferred to another person, subject to prior written approval from Celt Jive.
The replacement person must accept the applicable terms and any travel, accommodation and insurance requirements.
Any additional costs must be paid by the original customer or replacement person as agreed.
The original customer remains responsible for any outstanding balance until the transfer has been formally completed.
Celt Jive will not provide a refund to the original customer. Any private reimbursement between dancers is a matter between the original customer and the replacement person.
Transfers are subject to availability, hotel approval and any supplier deadlines or restrictions.
The replacement person must arrange their own appropriate insurance and provide any required information or documentation.
Celt Jive may require any outstanding balance to be paid before a transfer is completed.
The replacement person must accept the existing room and occupancy arrangements unless otherwise agreed by Celt Jive.
The original customer must not advertise, sell or transfer their place before written approval has been given by Celt Jive.
Once the transfer has been completed, the original customer has no right to attend or make changes to the booking.
Celt Jive may refuse a transfer where it is not reasonably possible or where hotel or supplier restrictions prevent it.
